The Indian Institute of Forest Management in Bhopal inaugurated a three-day yoga workshop, led by Ms. Niharika, a renowned yoga trainer from Rishikesh Yoga Nirvana. The workshop was attended by Dr. K. Ravichandran, Director, IIFM along with 30 participants, including faculties, officers, and staff members of the institute.
On the first day, the session started bright and early at six-thirty in the morning and featured traditional Ashtanga Yoga practices from Mysore, conducted by Ms. Niharika. She also led a discussion on the benefits of yoga, emphasizing its ability to connect the soul with the divine and highlighting the importance of pure air and food. She recommended a Satvik diet, including seasonal cereals and fruits, and suggested that yoga could be a solution to many health problems, including "sinus," which can be eradicated by "Jal-neti kriya" of yoga.
The workshop was also attended by students of the institute, who received training of Surya Namaskar. Throughout the three-day session, Ms. Niharika will provide training in various activities of Ashtanga Yoga every day. Ashtanga Yoga is considered essential for preventing physical problems, as it activates the body's main eight organs.
In conclusion, the Indian Institute of Forest Management's three-day yoga workshop, led by Niharika, was a great success, with participants gaining valuable knowledge and training in the ancient practice of Ashtanga Yoga.
