Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday hit out at Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat over his remark on Rahul Gandhi.
Baghel told the media why Bhagwat did not pull up Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he said “he feels he was unfortunate to take birth in India”. Why was Bhagwat sleeping like a Kumbhkaran then, he asked.
Citing Bhagwat's remark on Gandhi’s statement in the United States, Baghel said: “If Bhagwat had condemned Modi’s statement, he would have been justified in criticizing Rahulji."
Stating that Bhagwat supposedly headed a cultural organization, Baghel said such a person should not be biased and not be inclined towards a political party.
“When it is seen that he is politically biased, then it means RSS is not a cultural organization as it is claims."
All senior leaders and spokespersons of BJP target Rahul Gandhi though he is not the Congress chief. This indicates that the BJP views him as the biggest opposition star, Baghel said.
