Union Bank of India, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with great pomp in the auditorium of its zonal office located at Arera Hills, Bhopal.
In the meeting, all the speakers discussed the various ideals established by Gandhi, truth, non-violence along with various social reforms like cleanliness, untouchability, economic reforms etc. and resolved to pass on these ideals to the next generation and follow them.
The chief guest in the program, senior journalist, litterateur and political analyst Satish Elia emphasized that Gandhi's ideals are still very relevant and he is being respected not only in India but even today in the entire world.
Zonal Head of Union Bank, B.P. Das informed the gathering that on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, various corporate social concern works have been done by the bank, under which toilets have been constructed for girl students in the school and sanitary pad vending machines have been provided. Besides, girl students have been adopted for education in village schools for financial facilities, and a digital library is being started.
On this occasion, sanction letters were also provided to beneficiaries of various sectors like Nari Shakti Loan, Self Help Group Livelihood Loan, E-Vehicle Loan, Housing Loan, PM Swanidhi Loan etc. In the meeting, area head Javed Ahmed Jaffrey, Devendra Choubey, Ved Prakash Arora, Neeraj Singh, Manoj Jain, Dhananjay Kumar, Ramjas Vijay Vargiya, Neeraj Kumar etc. executives shared their views.
