Two Bokaro girls, Shreya Suman and Neha Kumari Bhagat, both students from Delhi Public School (DPS) in Bokaro, have been selected for the state merit award.
Both will be honored by Hemant Soren, Chief Minister, Jharkhand at Project Bhawan in Dhurwa, Ranchi, on 27 March.
Shreya Suman, the topper in Bokaro district and second at the state level in the CBSE 10th examination, will get a reward of Rs 2 lakhs, while Neha Kumari Bhagat, topper in the district and third in the state in the commerce stream of 12th board, will be honored with a prize money of one lakh rupees.
Sunil Kumar, Director of Secondary Education, Government of Jharkhand, has written a letter to the State Project Director of Jharkhand State Education Project Council, along with the list of selected toppers in this regard. In addition to CBSE toppers, Jharkhand Academic Council and ICSE board toppers will be honoured at the event.
Shreya Suman, became the district topper in the CBSE 10th board exams by scoring 99.4 per cent marks (497), while Neha Kumari Bhagat placed first in the district and third in the state with 98.6 per cent marks in the CBSE 12th board commerce stream.
Shreya wants to become a software engineer, and she gets her motivation from her parents, teacher Ramamurthy Thakur and housewife Sunita Kumari. Neha is the daughter of businessman Vasudev Prasad Bhagat and homemaker Sarita Devi, and she desires to be a successful chartered accountant to help the country's economy.
Principal Dr. A. S. Gangwar congratulated both students on their achievements and wished them a prosperous future. Congratulating them, he stated that DPS Bokaro is dedicated to the overall development of the students and the provision of quality education. Such accomplishments are a wonderful byproduct of this dedication.
