Union Home minister Amit Shah is slated to hold a meeting with the Bharatiya Janata Party office bearers during his one-day tour of the State on Saturday. Meanwhile, the BJP is also preparing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Pithoragarh on October 12.
The BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that on Saturday Shah will hold a meeting with the party’s office bearers in the BJP State office. The heads of the party’s various cells, media, social media and IT office bearers will also attend the meeting. Apart from this, the party is lending final touches to the organisational programmes during PM Modi’s proposed Pithoragarh visit. On October 12, he is slated to offer prayers in Jageshwar after which he will visit the border area of Jolikang and interact with jawans of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police. The PM is also slated to view the products made by the locals, interact with the locals and see Adi Kailash. He will address the public in Pithoragarh on the same day and directly interact with beneficiaries of government schemes. Modi will spend the night at Mayawati Ashram in Champawat and then depart in the morning.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Dehradun to attend the Central Zonal Council meeting to be held at Narendranagar on Saturday. He is slated to spend three days in Uttarakhand. After the meeting, he is slated to visit Kedarnath and offer prayers there besides spending the night there. He will then visit Badrinath and offer special prayers there.
