Screening of 'Pathan' movie at several places in Bhopal and Indore were disrupted by the protest of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal activists on Wednesday.
'Pathan', which came into limelight after the song 'Besharam Rang', was released on Wednesday in the cinema halls of Madhya Pradesh. Along with demonstrations in Gwalior-Indore, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal have also started demonstrations in Bhopal. This movie has been released in all the talkies and multiplexes of Bhopal.
The activists of organisations recited Hanuman Chalisa. Shows have been canceled in some cinema halls. Due to the protest, the poster of the film on Rangmahal Talkies has also been removed.

In Bhopal too, Bajrang Dal workers not only tore the posters of the film, but workers who reached Rangmahal and Sangeet Talkies raised slogans against Shahrukh-Deepika. They closed the ticket counter and sat on dharna in front of the ticket counter. Hanuman Chalisa is being recited here. Due to protests by pro-Hindu organizations, the cinema hall operators have currently canceled the shows of the film and removed the posters of the film.
On the other hand, those who had made advance booking and reached the cinema hall to watch the movie, had to return disappointed. People are demanding to return their money.
VHP's Chief Jitendra Singh Chauhan said that the demonstration has been started outside all the talkies since 11.30 am. A large number of office bearers and workers of the organization are participating in this.
The protest came to the fore after the release of a song from the film Pathan. It was screened in nine Single Screen Cinemas, 22 screens in 5 multiplexes.
Apart from all the multiplexes of Bhopal, the film has also been released in Jyoti, Raj, Bharat, Rangmahal, Alpana, Muskaan, Sangam, Sangeet talkies including Sehore, Vidisha, Ashta and nearby talkies.
