The personnel of Madhya Pradesh Special Armed Force s (SAF) have demanded from Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to merge the entire force into the main police force. The personnel of the Special Armed Forces have said that by availing their services in the police stations in the districts, it will be easier for the police to solve the important tasks of Cyber, CBI, ATS, CID, EOW, Lokayukta, NIA and other branches. Along with this, the biggest task will be that the personnel serving in SAF will also get a chance to fulfill social and family responsibilities.
While talking to media persons here on Monday, Anil Upadhyay, Dinesh Chauhan, Ashish Patel, the families of the personnel working in the Special Armed Forces, said that a single window entry system is implemented in the police department from constable to sub-inspector. Equally qualified candidates are selected in Madhya Pradesh Armed Police Force and District Police Force, but despite having working capability and efficiency in the SAF force, their capability and efficiency are being suppressed.
Besides, the personnel remain disoriented due to their duty at remote places and are forced to struggle with mental, physical and family pains. It was said from their side that like a paramilitary, a SAF personnel joins the battalion after receiving high level training. In such a situation, when the personnel has additional capabilities to work, he is not able to utilize them in the battalion.
In view of these circumstances, the process of mutual transfer should be started between the District Force and the Special Special Armed Forces and the personnel who are proficient in different disciplines and successful in controlling the criminals should be given important responsibilities like law and order, traffic etc. so that their morale is also high. Such armed police force servants who have completed 5 years of service should be included in the district force, so that harmony will be maintained between the SAF and the district force and this process will not bring any financial burden on the government.
SAF personnel told the media that they have sent a letter to the Chief Minister regarding their merger and transfer. This matter has also been brought to the attention of about 125 hundred public representatives. The special thing in this matter is that earlier also an initiative has been taken in this regard through Police Headquarters' letter number PUMU/ 1(B)/ 3(A)/ 3108/ 82.
In an order issued on 13 September 1982, detailed instructions were issued for the transfer of police from the SAF to the district force but this was later deleted. By starting this process, 26000 employees can be given an opportunity to serve in public interest and state interest.
