After flagging off the first non-scheduled flight service last month between Bhubaneswar and Rangeilunda in Ganjam district as part of its effort to boost air connectivity from the State capital to other cities, the Odisha Government has granted permission for continuation of the service in the route from April 2 to 30.
The flight schedule of Ahmedabad-based IndiaOne Air had been announced by the Directorate of Aviation, Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in a letter to the Ganjam district administration on March 25.
Addressed to the Ganjam Collector, the letter signed by the Officer on Special Duty read, ”In inviting reference to the letter on above cited subject, I am directed to say that permission is hereby granted for landing and takeoff of the above aircraft at Rangeilunda (Berhampur) airstrip, Ganjam from 02.04.2023 to 30.04.2023 as per following programme at the pilot’s own risk and subject to fitness of airstrip. It is therefore requested that the executive engineer (R&B) Berhampur may be kindly informed of the programme to arrange landing facilities and issue fitness certificate of the airstrip under intimation of the Directorate.”
