Shahjahanabad police have busted a gang of robbers including a woman who would take a lift and rob victims with the help of other gang members.
One of the victims Farid Khan reported robbery at around 21.30 in the night on July 21 near Lalita Nagar petrol pump, a woman asked to drop her to M.P.Nagar by Rapido but cash payment is not being done if he would drop in MP Nagar, she will give you Rs 80 as fare, the complainant came to drop her at MP Nagar but after reaching MP Nagar she said that she want to reach VIP Guest House, Mother India Colony, Idgah Hills where an acquaintance of the woman was found on a red colored Avenger bike and was robbed by the accused.
Based on the complaint police accused gang was tracked and arrested.
Police recovered the robbed mobile phone and bike of the victim and vehicle used in the robbery, motorcycle Avenger red color bearing registration number MP-04 MN-2487. Valuables worth Rs 2.3 lakh were recovered from the accused.
The accused was identified as Syed Sahil Ali of Vishwakarma Nagar Karond and was booked under section 384 of the IPC by Koh-e-fiza police, under section 392 of the IPC by Shahjahanabad police and under section 379 of the IPC by Mangalwara police.
The lady accused was identifed as Gulnaz alias Rimsha of Aishbagh Shahjahanabad. She had been booked for the same crimes by the same police stations of the city.
