There are success stories and then there are extraordinary success stories like that of Mohd Bablu, the Founder and Director of Gamut Buildcon, a leading EPC Company that executes multi-crore rupee contracts all over India.
Originally hailing from Katihar in Bihar, at the age of 13, Mohd Bablu was forced to migrate to Delhi in 1990 in search of bread and butter, due to challenging financial conditions at home. He began working as a labourer in Delhi, toiling hard to make ends meet. But Mohd Bablu had what few others can only imagine - an indomitable spirit, determination and a strong will to succeed. He improved his leadership skills within a few years and kept on working hard to achieve greater heights.
Displaying leadership skills that would prove to be a key strength going ahead, Mohd Bablu formed a small team of labourers and masons and started taking up small construction projects from 1998. He gained valuable experience in the construction industry, which led him to establish his own company in 2013, and thus was born Gamut Buildcon.
Today, the company employs around 3,000 labourers, masons and around 250 technical staff including but not limited to engineers and accountants, a testament to Mohd Bablu’s vision and leadership. The company has carved out a special status for itself and is successfully undertaking projects worth crores.
As of now, Gamut Group owns 3 warehouses in Delhi-NCR, 4 RMC plants, 2 brick manufacturing plants, approx. 35000 sq. metre shuttering staging materials, a fleet of hundreds of vehicles and a direct line with Cement & Steel Vendors as well. Gamut Buildcon is a brand and epitome of completing projects before its scheduled time with excellent quality and strength.
“I always knew that there is no substitute for hard work, planning and focused approach. To grow and move forward, one has to keep learning and that is what I have focused on my entire life. The other thing that has contributed to my success is doing things ethically and honestly,” says Mohd Bablu.
Mohd Bablu believes that formal education is very important in life but the skills developed outside the boundaries of schools and colleges can also help you grow and achieve great success in life. He has attained extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of construction and can provide valuable insights on construction-related drawings without a formal technical education, an exceptional ability that has played a key role in Gamut Buildcon’s success. Through sheer determination and a pursuit of excellence, Gamut Buildcon is now surpassing its target of Rs. 172 crore annual turnover.
“We have just begun. We are committed to pushing boundaries and taking the company and the thousands of people associated with it to new heights of success,” adds Mohd Bablu.
