Marandi visits brain malaria affected village in Litipara

Tuesday, 28 November 2023 | PNS | Ranchi

State BJP president Babulal Marandi today took stock of the situation by meeting the relatives of those who died of brain malaria and the families suffering from the disease in Kutlo village of Littipara and Jolo Barago village of Sundarpahari. The BJP chief also expressed grief and anger over Chief Minister Hemant Soren did not take out time to meet the family members of those who are affected with disease despite camping in Santhal Pargana.

Marandi said that it seems surprising that CM came to Pakur and Barhet, stayed for two days but did not even go to the malaria affected villages and meet the victims and affected people, this is sad. Perhaps the Chief Minister did not come to the affected villages because he is scared of getting affected with disease if he visits the villages. Marandi said that the Chief Minister had a helicopter, if he wanted he could have easily visited one or two villages and inquired about the well-being of the victims. Only if we understand the problems of the people, will the right solution be found. The government talks about villages but if it does not go there where people are suffering, poor and in trouble, then what can it say.

Earlier, Marandi reached the village located in difficult terrain riding the bike covering a distance of 8 km.

Marandi said that the Government of India’s tap water scheme should be implemented here and the chief minister should direct the state officers in this regard.

“There is no need for a week or a month for this. If the work is done on a war footing, it will take only two days,

There is no proper transportation system. There is complete mud in Nawadih. It is natural that if there is this kind of filth, mosquitoes will breed and people will fall ill. The road needs to be repaired immediately,” he added.

“Littipada, Sunderpahari is a malaria zone. The government should run a special drive here, so that there is not only prevention but also a permanent solution. There is also a need to pay attention to village facilities. If the road is good then there will be no water logging and hence mosquitoes will also not breed. The government should work in this direction immediately,” Marandi pointed out.

Marandi said there is no good arrangement of beds in Littipara Hospital. “Nowadays everything is portable. There is no problem anywhere. It is winter season, blankets should also be provided to the poor,” he added.
