Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday claimed that the decline in Maoist violence in Chhattisgarh was due to the Centre and said that whenever the Congress takes power in New Delhi, Naxalites and terrorists flourish.
He also charged the Bhupesh Baghel government in Chhattisgarh with failing to contain the Red menace in the state completely.
Addressing an election rally in Surajpur district, Modi also targeted Baghel over alleged involvement in the Mahadev betting App scam.
Modi said that for the Congress, Adivasis (tribals) have no existence in the country and it has left them to their fate. "Whenever the Congress comes to power in the country, terrorists and Naxalites flourish. News of bomb blasts and murders are reported from here and there. Wherever the Congress is in power, the rule of crime and loot prevails," he claimed.
The Congress government has failed to contain Naxalite violence (in Chhattisgarh), the prime minister alleged.
