Girl students of Sacred Heart School Koderma will tie rakhi to President Draupadi Murmu. On Tuesday, everyone left for Delhi by the Jansampark Kranti Express. Teacher Praveen Kumar and teacher Kamini Sahay accompanied the students. The children going to Delhi include the names of Nayantara Gupta, Saumya Kumari, Jahnavi Ojha, Kaushambi Malwa and Pulkit Soni. Apart from the director of the school, Pramod Kumar, the parents of the children had also reached to drop the children at the station. After tying rakhi to the President, the children will visit prominent places in Delhi and will return on September 1.
On the other hand, another team of children from Sacred Heart School will tie rakhi to Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan. The names of Archie Kumari, Vandana Kumari, Anupriya Kumari, Megha Singh and Tanisha Sharma are included in the students going to Governor's House. Along with this, Academic Director Pramod Kumar Sharma, teachers Kuntal Jethwa and Manoj Pandey will also go to Ranchi. After tying Rakhi, children will return to their homes by evening. School Director Pramod Kumar, Academic Director Pramod Sharma and Principal Naveen Kumar along with other teachers have congratulated the children. The children here had tied rakhi to Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan last year as well.
Meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday greeted citizens on the eve of Raksha Bandhan and hoped that this festival of love, affection and faith would nurture the spirit of harmony in society besides enhancing the respect for women.
In her message, Murmu said the festival of Raksha Bandhan is a symbol of love between brothers and sisters. "On this day, sisters tie Rakhi to their brothers and pray for their happiness, prosperity and good health. This festival gives us the message of protecting our sisters and daughters as well as protecting the glory of our country," the president said.
This year Rakhsa bandhan assumes importance as on the eve of Raksha bandhan, the Union Cabinet has announced a subsidy of Rs 200 on all domestic LPG cylinders. The Centre has called the decision a gift for women from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
Prime Minister Modi said the reduction in prices will increase the comfort of women and make their lives easier.
"The festival of Raksha Bandhan is a day to increase happiness in our family. The reduction in gas prices will increase the comfort of the sisters in my family and make their lives easier. May every sister of mine be happy, be healthy, be happy, this is my wish from God," the PM posted in Hindi on X, formerly Twitter.
