IB, SPG officials brief State police officers on VVIP duties in polls

Keeping in view the possible arrival of very important persons in the state in the coming time, senior IB and SPG officials briefed all the senior police officers of the state on Friday through video conferencing from the police headquarters on their security arrangements.

DGP Sudhir Saxena said that in the coming time, the police will have multidimensional responsibilities like arrival of very important people in the state, big festivals and ensuring adherence to model code of conduct etc. The purpose of today's discussion is that in these circumstances our preparation should be very good and in accordance with the standards set by the government.

After carefully studying the Blue Book, Yellow Book and all security related circulars, brief them thoroughly up to the field staff (reserve level) so that strict adherence to security standards can be ensured.

He said that the ASL report and the system should be taken very seriously. If public darshan and road shows etc. are organised, there should be strong security arrangements. DGP Shri Saxena said that today's conference will prove to be very useful for everyone.

During this, VIP security in the context of upcoming elections by Dipankar Trivedi (IPS) Joint Director VIP Security, IB, study of relevant matters on VIP security, election visit of Prime Minister by Vimukt Ranjan DIG SPG - overview of security challenges, venue of ceremony On arrangements, helipad, route, motorcycle convoy, media facility, contingency planning and force deployment plan and Assistant Director of IB Deshraj Bhatoa discussed about VVIP security and counter measures like access control system, jammer.

During the briefing session, IB Joint Director Shachi Ghildayal, Additional Director General of Police Adarsh Katiyar, Anil Kumar,  Chanchal Shekhar, Jaideep Prasad, Yogesh Deshmukh and Inspector General of Police Anurag, Deepika Suri, Gaurav Rajpooj,  Ashok Kumar Goyal, M.S.Sikarwar, Dr. Ashish,  Abhay Singh, Commissioner Bhopal  Harinarayanchari Mishra, Commissioner Indore Makrand Deuskar were present.
