SChief Minister Hemant Soren today said that signing of the MoU between Tata Motors and Tata Cummins joint venture and the Jharkhand government for the hydrogen engine manufacturing project is certainly an important day in the history of Jharkhand. In this way, since the independence of the country till now, many links have been connected in the field of industry in Jharkhand. The CM said that God has blessed this state with various types of mineral wealth that is why many small and big industries as well as big technical industries have been established in Jharkhand.
The CM said that two days ago there was a lot of discussion about the Chandrayaan mission across the country, eventually India successfully completed the Chandrayaan mission. Our scientists have once again proved that India is not less than anyone. Shivshankar Besra, a tribal youth resident of Bokaro district of Jharkhand has also made a commendable contribution in this entire Chandrayaan mission. Shivshankar Besra joined the ISRO team as Scientist. There is no dearth of skills in the youth of Jharkhand, provided it is necessary that we policy makers and industrial organizations working here understand what we have to do for this state.
The CM was addressing a gathering during signing of an MoU between TCPL Green Energy Solution Pvt. Ltd (JV of Tata motors limited and TATA cummins limited) with Industries Department, Government of Jharkhand here on Friday.
Soren said that although Jharkhand is included in the backward states of the country, but why our state is standing in the line of backward states, I have not been able to find a complete solution, but I am constantly trying to find a solution. He said that according to the thinking of the young generation of Jharkhand, according to the sentiments of the people here, our government is working to move the state forward by preparing a better action plan keeping in mind various aspects.
The CM said that in the initial phase of the hydrogen engine project, hydrogen engines will be used only in heavy vehicles, but gradually its scope will increase and the concept of using hydrogen engines in small vehicles can also be fulfilled. The Chief Minister said that we have full faith that with such efforts, Jharkhand will come out of the category of backward states and join the category of leading states of the country.
Soren said that 30 per cent of Jharkhand is covered with forests. If small scrub forests are included, then it increases to 50 per cent. At present, climate change is fast emerging as a challenge for the country and the world. Discussions are being held on the national and international level regarding climate change by organizing big conferences and seminars. He said that our government is doing positive work in many areas with public participation while preparing a better action plan regarding climate change.
The CM said that we have often been hearing about the climate of a city like Delhi. The challenge with nature seems to be taking a heavy toll on human life. At present, the fatal effect of climate change is visible; it needs to be taken seriously. He said that unseasonal rains at some places, drought at some places and floods at some places, a strange situation has prevailed. We all are seeing the result of too much tampering with nature. There is a need to move forward on the path of development by establishing coordination with nature. He said that the hydrogen engine manufacturing project in the state would prove to be a milestone in climate change reform.
On this occasion, Jitendra Kumar Singh, Secretary, Department of Industries, Government of Jharkhand and Ajay Patil, Chief Financial Officer, Cummins Group India, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Minister Satyanand Bhokta, Executive Director of Tata Motors Girish Wagh and Engine Engineers at Cummins India The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of Nitin Giraffe, Vice President, Business.
On this occasion, Labour Planning and Skill Development Minister Satyanand Bhokta, State Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Vandana Dadel, Chief Minister's Secretary Vinay Kumar Choubey, Industries Department Secretary Jitendra Kumar Singh, Executive Director Tata Motors Ltd. Girish Wagh, Chief Financial Officer of Cummins Group Ajay Patil along with other senior officials of the state government and representatives of Tata Group were present in large numbers.
