Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Monday directed the officials concerned to complete all the operational activities related to the Hisar airport by the end of this year so that civil aviation flights can begin their operations from the New Year.
The Deputy CM, who also holds the portfolio of Civil Aviation, presided over a meeting of officers concerned regarding the construction of Hisar Airport here in Chandigarh. Chautala said that departments should move forward and expedite the Hisar Airport work with mutual coordination in order to complete tasks within the stipulated time.
He directed to complete the alternate road from NH 9 to 52 in the area adjacent to Hisar Airport as soon as possible so that people do not face any inconvenience. Chautala instructed to get the remaining land registered as soon as possible and ensure the amount to the land owners. He directed the officers of the PWD department to complete the work of RCC watch tower, perimeter road, emergency access road, and security lighting by November 30 and also reviewed the work progress of shifting of 132 KV E.H.T. Power Line, preparation of DPR for setting up Solar Park, construction of Fuel-Store, Installation of Navigation-instruments, Drinking Water Supply, Drainage and Sewerage, and also instructed the officers to speed-up the work so that the airport could be operational within the stipulated time.
