Guv, CM lay foundation stone of the new educational complex

Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan today laid the foundation stone of new campus and hostel of Narmadanchal Vidyapeeth at Bargaon in Dindori district. They dedicated the new ghat and stair construction work on the Silgi river and also inspected the gau-shala, under-construction school premises and hostel. Construction work of Narmadanchal Vidyapeeth School and Hostel is being done in Bargaon from the CSR head of South East Cold Field Limited Bilaspur at a cost of about Rs. 18 crore. Governor Shri Patel and Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also inaugurated the Divyang Aids Distribution Camp and Health Camp and distributed motorized tricycles and aids to the Divyangs. The Governor and the Chief Minister offered prayers at the Siddha Maharaj temple and wished for the well being of the people of state.

Governor Shri Patel said that the Tribal Welfare Centre Mahakaushal Bargaon is continuously working for the development of the society. Remarkable work is being done here in various other fields besides education, health, environmental protection. For this, all the members associated with the organisation deserve congratulations. The Governor appreciated the academic quality and management of Narmadanchal Vidyapeeth. Mentioning the sickle cell eradication programme run by the state government, he motivated the present tribal brothers to compulsorily get themselves and their family members checked for sickle cell and others also to be checked. Governor Shri Patel appealed to ensure their participation in the complete eradication of TB by the year 2025 and sickle cell by 2047, as per the target of the Central Government.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has said that he had come to Bargaon in the year 2006, since then till now there has been a lot of change in the form of this tribal welfare centre. During that time Sudarshan ji and Pujya Swami Satyamitranand Giri ji were present with him. He said that during his visit to the gau-shala today, he saw that Peepal trees have been planted in the premises for environmental protection, which are working as oxygen banks. The objective of Tribal Welfare Centre, Bargaon is to provide quality education to the students, develop them physically, mentally and intellectually and build on ideal leadership and make youths self-reliant with moral and human values, so that they can become responsible citizens and serve the society and the nation.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the work of women empowerment and eradication of social evils can be done only through social service. This centre is fulfilling these responsibilities very well. The Chief Minister also mentioned the ancient and dignified culture of India. He said that this project is doing the work of connecting with the ancient culture of India. The sense of service to man, service to Narayan is reflected in this centre. He appealed to all the people present to give their participation in this noble work and make the society better. CM Shri Chouhan instructed to get the estimate prepared for the construction of boundary wall of Tribal Welfare Centre. He said that all possible cooperation will be provided by the government to further improve the system of the centre.

Union Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, Chairman Tribal Welfare Centre Shri Manohar Lal Sahu, Secretary Shri Digvijay Singh, Advocate General Shri Prashant Singh, General Manager of SECL Shri Pradeep Kumar, Commissioner Disabled Welfare Shri Sandeep Rajak and public representatives and centre members were present.
