Governor encourages students, meets villagers in Dumka

Governor CP Radhakrishnan today went to Mohli Tola of Ghasipur village under Dumka district. First of all, he reached to observe the Anganwadi center located there. On the said occasion, the Governor inquired about the number of children in the Anganwadi center and obtained information regarding the nutrition of the children. On this occasion, he also planted trees in the Anganwadi premises.

The Governor then went to the upgraded Primary School, Ghasipur and met the children studying there. He interacted with the children and got information about the facilities available in the school. He encouraged the children by asking their names and asked about the subjects being taught through the smart class. He inquired from the Deputy Commissioner, Dumka about the mid-day meal scheme along with the number and attendance of students in the school.

After getting information about their studies from the local youth present there, the Governor encouraged them to take up education.

After this, the Governor met the local women present and got information about their livelihood and appreciated their talent of making bamboo material and asked the Deputy Commissioner, Dumka to take initiative to increase their income. After this, in a program organized there, apart from distributing medical grants among the villagers, the Governor benefitted the beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Irrigation Well Construction Scheme, MGNREGA Scheme, Saree-Lungi Scheme.

In front of the Governor, the head of the village distributed nutrition food insects among TB patients by becoming a non-decaying friend under the 'Pradhan Mantri TB-free India Scheme'. He told the villagers that it is expected that this area will become a developed area with mutual relations, harmony and understanding. He said that those who are not able to reach Raj Bhavan, they will have access to them. He also encouraged folk artists. Deputy Commissioner, Dumka, Superintendent of Police, Dumka and other officers of the district administration were present on the said occasion.
