Expelled BJP leader, Pritam Lodhi joined the BJP on Sunday in the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, State President Vishnudutt Sharma and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
Lodhi was expelled from the BJP for six years in August 2022 for making controversial statements about Brahmins and Katha Vachaks. His exile ended in seven months. Home Minister Narottam Mishra had taken him to the stage.
Efforts to bring Pritam Lodhi, a supporter of BJP leader Uma Bharti, back to the party were going on for several days. He also met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during his stay in Gwalior.
After this, speculations were being made that on March 3, he can take BJP membership in the programme organized at Pichor in Shivpuri district. Lodhi had also appeared with the Chief Minister at the Smart City Garden in the capital on March 6. They planted a sapling together.
Notably, in a programme organized in Pichor on August 17, 2022, Pritam Lodhi gave a controversial statement regarding Brahmins and Katha Vachaks , Brahmins got angry because of this. BJP was also facing opposition along with Lodhi.
Because of this he was expelled from the party for six years. Angered by this action, Lodhi started leading the Other Backward Classes (OBC). Uma Bharti reached his house to pacify him and taught him to exercise restraint in rhetoric.
