A 22-year-old engineering student committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling in Piplani area. The reason for the suicide could not be revealed as no suicide note was found.
However, the student's friends told the police that before the suicide, he had an argument over meeting his girlfriend. He was calling girlfriend to meet. The girl refused because it was late at night and was angry with this.
ASI Kaushalendra Singh told that deceased Nishant Singh Patel was a first year student in a private college. He was living in Chhatrasal Nagar Piplani in a rented room. On Thursday night around 12 in the night, Nishant called his girlfriend who lives in Bhopal to meet her. Girlfriend refused to meet.
On this he told his girlfriend that if she would not come he will die. Girlfriend thought he was joking. After about 20 minutes the girlfriend called over his mobile, but Nishant did not receive the call. When in doubt, she sent her friends living near Nishant's room to see.
By the time the friends reached Nishant had hanged himself. Friends cut the noose and took him to the hospital. The doctor declared him dead.
