The principal of a government-run English medium school in Chhattisgarh’s Surguja district will be honoured with the National Teachers Award on Teachers Day.
Dr. Brijesh Pandey of the Swami Atmanand Government English Medium School in Ambikapur will be honoured by President Draupadi Murmu on September 5 in Delhi, an official statement said on Tuesday.
Dr Pandey made significant contribution in promoting young scientists and raising interest in science among them. Several models of young scientists have been showcased at the national level under his guidance. He was also honoured with the Governor’s Award in 2018.
Dr Pandey played a vital role in designing activity books for primary school children.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and School Education Minister Ravindra Choubey congratulated Dr Pandey.
