Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Ji's birth anniversary were celebrated in DAV School.
Hazaribagh. Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri ji's Birth anniversary were celebrated on 2nd October in the premises of local DAV Public School Canary Hill Hazaribagh. The program started with the laying of flowers and garlands on the pictures of Gandhiji and Shastriji by DAV Teacher Incharge Mrs. Kavita Pandey and senior teachers as well as NCC students and non-teaching staff. While addressing the teachers and students in the program, Mrs. Kavita Pandey threw light on the work and personality of Gandhiji and Shastriji and said that Gandhiji has always been relevant for us.
Today in our society the norms of truth, non-violence and simplicity are being neglected due to which various problems are arising. She also said that the simplicity of Lal Bahadur Shastri ji is exemplary for everyone. Despite holding the post of Prime Minister of the country, he always showed simplicity and restraint. Shastri ji was a true follower of Gandhi ji. On this occasion, tree plantation and cleaning campaign was also carried out in the school premises by the Principal, teachers and NCC students.
Cultural programme was also organized in the program under the leadership of music teacher Shri Vijay Kumar Dubey in which Gandhiji's favorite bhajans Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram and Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye were sung together. In the cultural program, Mrs. Kavita Pandey also sang a patriotic song dedicated to Gandhiji, 'Freedom went without a sword without a shield'. The program concluded with a peace lesson by Sanskrit teacher Naval Kishore Mishra.
