As a part of the 52nd National Safety Week & Steel Safety Day observation a number of competitions are being organised at SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). The series of programmes commenced with hoisting of the Safety flag on 4th March 2023. Safety quiz and debate competitions were organised for regular employees and contract workers at Research and Control Laboratory on 9th and 11th March respectively.
In all 62 regular employees from across different departments of the Plant participated in the written quiz. 22 employees took part in the debate competition on the theme ‘Our Aim – Zero’ Harm held to mark the occasion.
It is noteworthy that the contract workers deployed in different work areas also participated in the competitions in large numbers. 35 of them participated in the written quiz and 12 in debate competition. The programmes were coordinated by B K Padhy (Senior Manager) and U S Singh (Senior Manager) and the Safety Engineering Department collective.
