In an initiative to provide all round support to children and their caregivers, Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP) and ChildFund India under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday in an event organized in Ranchi.
The program starts with a welcome address and lighting of lamp. In collaboration with ChildFund India, CIP organized an event with presence of Board Member, ChildFund India, Rajesh Ranjan Singh, Director, CIP, Dr Basudeb Das, Administrative Officer, CIP, Dr Avinash Sharma, Head and Incharge, Department of Psychiatric Social Work, CIP, Dr Dipanjan Bhattacharjee, Head and Incharge Centre for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, CIP, Senior Specialist Health, ChildFund India, Dr Nishant Goyal Pratibha and , Specialist Program - Jharkhand, ChildFund India, Paulomee Roy Chowdhury were present as well.
Other officials from the ChildFund India’s Jharkhand team and CIP Dr Madhumitta Bhattacharya, Prakriti Sinha, Dr K Prasad were also present at this event.
Singh and Dr Das shared their plan and vision for this collaboration. Singh India stressed on Importance of mental health by focusing on the following on 3As that is Acceptance, Acknowledgement and Action. He said it is a good opportunity for ChildFund India to include mental health aspects in all its intervention areas. He stressed on developing a module in collaboration with CIP.
Keynote Address was delivered by Dr Das. He shared the different initiatives taken by CIP in the field Digitalization of Mental Health, Tele Manas, Tele Mental Health Tele, Consultation and Tele psychotherapy and expressed his happiness that they could collaborate with ChildFund India. He expressed that with collaboration of Child Fund India they will be able to reach out to the wider community.
Vote of thanks was given by Ashray Ekka where he specially mentioned Assistant Professor, CIP, Mittu Mithu Verghese who was the primary point of contact for the collaboration. Anchoring was done by PSW Tutor, Khushboo Shah and was coordinated well by PSW Tutor, Srabana Bhattachargee. The program was attended by 50 participants.
