The district administration is always ready to bring positive changes in the lives of disabled people. Whenever I get an opportunity to visit Asha-Lata Divyang Vikas Kendra, a positive feeling arises in my mind. In this direction, continuous work is being done for the inclusive development of persons with disabilities,” Deputy Commissioner Kuldeep Chaudhary said while addressing the peoples present at the assistive device distribution ceremony organized at the Asha-Lata Divyang Vikas Kendra premises located in Sector 05 Bokaro. Further DC Bokaro in his address appreciated the work being done by Asha-Lata Divyang Vikas Kendra in the interest of divyang people and the cooperation of Bokaro Steel Limited (BSL) management. Deputy Development Commissioner Kirtishree G. was present on the occasion.
In his address on the occasion, Executive Director (Works) BSL Birendra Kumar Tiwari said that the company continuously works to improve the quality of life of the people living in the surrounding areas. In this context, it is also working to improve the lives of divyang people and provide them with assistive devices under CSR for their convenience. ED Tiwari also extended his best wishes to the organization for its silver jubilee year. Also during the occasion ED Suresh Rangani, ED Rajan Prasad and Director of the organization B.S. Jaiswal etc. addressed the people present. COC BSL MK Dhan informed that this Camp was organized by BSL under its CSR for the supply of Assistive Aids to divyangjan and BSL has joined hands with (ALIMCO) Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India. Notably, the first such camp was organized in December last year by BSL at the same venue. It is part of BSL's CSR initiatives to help bring divyangjan to the society's mainstream and SAIL-BSL will keep continuing such efforts in future too.
On the occasion DC, DDC, BSL top officials and other guests symbolically distributed assistive devices among the divyand people. In the function, assistive devices were provided by Alimco to a total of 342 divyang people which includes 117 people from Chas block, 69 people from Chandankiyari block and 156 people from Jaridih block.
On the occasion, Additional Collector cum District Social Welfare Officer Maneka, General Manager CSR Chaudhary Ratnesh K Sudhanshu, CSR Nodal Officer Shakti Kumar, CSR BSL Ashok Kumar, Assistant Public Relations Officer Avinash Kumar, Employees of BSL, District Social Welfare department personnel, women supervisors, divyangjans from various blocks etc. were also present.
