Gandhi Jayanti at Sarala Birla Public School
To commemorate the birth anniversary of the father of our nation-Mahatma Gandhi, students of Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi participated in a number of activities with great zeal and patriotism. A special assembly was conducted in the school to pay tribute to Gandhiji. The assembly commenced with the prayer ‘Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye’ followed by speeches delivered by the students dressed as Gandhiji in which they shared anecdotes from Bapu's life. The day reminded the students about the principles and values led by Gandhiji. Earlier on 1st October 2023, students participated in a number of activities under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign organised by Ministry of Jal Shakti and Ministry of Education, Government of India. School Head Personnel & Admin., Dr. Pradip Varma, wished everyone on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Principal, Mrs. Paramjit Kaur, encouraged the students to follow the path of truth and non-violence.
Surendranath Centenary School participates at Cleanliness drive
Under Swachhata Hi Sewa Campaign ànd to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the students of classes VI to XII and the teachers of Surendranath Centenary School participated in the cleanliness drive on 1st October, 2023 for one hour to offer Swachhanjali to the the towering personality of the Father of the Nation. Even the heavy downpour could not dampen the spirit and zeal of students and teachers. They all visited the vicinity of the school- the petrol pump,roadside area and the vegetables market and contributed towards the cleanliness of the locality through Shramdaan*. They were instrumental in spreading awareness about self hygiene and sanitation* by using masks and hand gloves while clearing the areas.
