According to the standards set for Swachh Survekshan-2023 Mayor Malti Rai is urging for active cooperation of common citizens in cleanliness and sanitation activities of Bhopal city by continuously reaching among different sections to inspire them and make number the city number 1.
In this context, Mayor Rai on Wednesday inspected boat club area and high water level in areas around the boat club and Upper Lake. To ensure standard cleanliness, keep the shopkeepers in the cleanliness system. Those who give advice for co-operation and do not cooperate even after cooperation from BMC and spreads filth will attract spot fines.
She instructed to complete the beautification work on the banks of Upper Lake at the earliest.
The citizens of Bhopal should cooperate and give positive feedback in the Citizen Feedback component to make the city number 1 in cleanliness. During this, the member of the Mayor's Council RK Singh Baghel and Ravindra Yeti and officials of the corporation were present.
Mayor Rai instructed to ensure high-level cleanliness arrangements in the areas surrounding Upper Lake, mandatory keeping of dustbins at the shops on Boat Club and sought shopkeepers cooperation and if they fail to keep garbage in dustbin take strict action and spot re-fine on the shopkeepers who do not comply.
She told shopkeepers to keep dustbins, motivate themselves as well as the customers to throw the garbage in the dustbin only.
