The Hazaribag administration has decided to take strict action on the coal and stone mafia to curb regular smuggling of coal to other states.

This was discussed in the monthly review meeting of the district mining task force in the seminar hall of the deputy commissioner. In the review meeting the DC said that the district administration is not satisfied with the progress of the task force.

She further said that without the proper coordination, it is not possible to get good results during the raids. She said that the members of the task force must be aware that the stone crushing must be stopped in the eco sensitive zone or restricted areas.

The task force should try to strengthen the information system, so that they can get accurate information and raid on the proper time.

She further said that the regular raid must be conducted and seizure of such items which are generally used during the crushing. She said that the stone crushing plants running in eco-sensitive zones must be abolished.

She further instructed that the electricity department immediately cut the power of all illegal stone crushers in the different areas. She said that those plants are not working according to the standard of the pollution of the areas. The pollution board must issue notices to such plants. She said that those plants are not following the standard of the pollution, their licence must be cancelled.

She has strictly instructed all the members of the force that they must show extra ordinary achievement in the next review meeting.
