A 40-year-old man was mowed down by a speeding truck near Parvati temple while trying to cross the road during catering work in the night on Saturday.
According to the police a man died after he was hit by a speeding truck. The locals informed the police and on receipt of the information a police team reached the spot and started investigation.
The deceased was identified as Bhagwandas Saini of Badwai.
Police said that the deceased was hit while he was trying to cross the road during work at Parvati temple.
The accident took place at around 8 in the evening and he was taken to hospital where he died during treatment at around 3 in the night.
The deceased used to work as a labourer. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and the police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile a 35-year-old man died after he fell from the terrace while at AIIMS Bhopal ; he fell while working on Sunday.
The man identified as Sheru Vishwakarma had gone for work and during which he accidentally fell from the terrace which proved fatal for him.
Police said that in the preliminary investigation, the death of the man was found to be an accident. Body was sent for the post after the preliminary investigation and further investigation has been started.
