The National Cooperative Development Cooperation (NCDC) on Wednesday opened a sub-office in Vijayawada, with an aim to take the various national schemes to the doorsteps of the co-operative societies in the district and nearby regions.
The office at AP Markfed Bhavan, Jawahar Auto Nagar, Vijayawada was inaugurated by Chiranjeev Chaudhary, Principal Secretary, Department of Cooperation & Marketing, Andhra Pradesh.
Calling it a moment of pride, he said the NCDC sub-office at Vijayawada, the administrative headquarters of NTR district will ensure hassle free reach of the apex lender’s financial services to the cooperative societies in the region.
The cooperative societies, especially in the agriculture and allied-sectors can prepare their business plans together with the NCDC officials and avail benefits from corporation's financial services, he added.
Vamshi Dubasi, Regional Director, NCDC said that, the Corporation has been catering to the needs of cooperatives in the State of Andhra Pradesh for long time and the opening of the sub-office will further ease in utilizing its services, improve reaching of NCDC services to cooperatives throughout the State.
Rahul Pandey, Managing Director, AP Markfed Ltd; Adinarayana, GM; along with other officials from AP Markfed, officials of APCOB, Sthree Nidhi Federation and other cooperative societies were among the dignitaries who graced the occasion.
Recently, Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah , while addressing the 89th General Council meeting of the NCDC had exhorted the apex lender to set a target of achieving Rs 1 lakh crore yearly disbursement in the next 3 years along with targets for every quarter.
With zero net Non Performing Assets (NPA), the NCDC has Pan India presence with its 18 regional directorates catering to all the States.
