Fluid dynamics lab launched at srmist
Kattankulathur: In a first of its initiative in India, especially in a higher education institution - a Centre of Excellence for Electronics Cooling and Computational Fluid Dynamics Lab was dedicated at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Kattankulathur on Wednesday. Skill training for students, research and development, professional and open electives, a two-year full-time specialisation in electronics cooling, and high-salary placements are the objectives of the new lab.The Lab is equipped with 30 high-end computer systems, and training in electronics cooling would be initially offered to all students. While 50 % of the training would be provided by SRM faculty, the rest of the training will be offered by the industry’s finest professionals and domain experts who have specialised in electronics cooling.
VIT-ap school of business holds vlaunch finale
Amravati: VIT-AP University’s School of Business (VSB) in Collaboration with VIT-AP TBI Foundation (VTBIF), organised the finale of VLaunch Pad, a national level business plan competition, to raise awareness on the importance of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship among students. A total of 443 teams registered across nation under four tracks related to UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in areas of AgriTech, Healthcare & Wellness, Automation and DeepTech. Out of which, 50 teams were chosen to pitch their business plan at the grand finale. First, second, and third prizes for the four tracks total cash amounting to Rs1,80,000 were awarded to the winners.
