Make your morning healthy

Unchecked lifestyle habits can cause everything from minor symptoms like fatigue and headaches to more serious issues like reflux, hypertension, and even cancer. Here are a few detox morning drinks to rid your body of the accumulated toxins naturally

The lifestyle of haste and hustle has an intoxicating effect on your body. Unattended, it may also start to affect your mind sooner or later. The initial indicators of the modern diet and environment reflect as fat build up in unwanted places. If the attack continues long enough, the increasing BMI can lead to several health issues.

Unchecked lifestyle habits can cause everything from minor symptoms like fatigue and headaches to more serious issues like reflux, hypertension, and even cancer. Detox is the name given to a set of activities designed to rid your body of the accumulated toxins naturally.

The process can include a host of foods, food habits, fasting, exercise, and other activities scientifically designed to kill the addiction to junk food. The process helps your system wash out the harmful compounds naturally and rejuvenate itself with organic elements.

Your morning routine is one of the most important pieces of this exercise and can include a set of physical training and foods to help you detox and feel alive. Here’s a list of powerful detox drinks that you can include in your weekly routine:

Cinnamon Tea

If mango has been the king of fruits due to its almost magical list of health benefits, cinnamon should, perhaps, be the queen of herbs. While its anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidizing, anti-diabetic, antimicrobial, cancer-preventing, lipid-lowering, and heart disease-fighting capabilities are well known and documented, it has also shown a promising capability to fight neurological problems.

You can prepare your cinnamon tea with your regular green tea or make a separate mix with milk and honey. However, do consult your physician if you are already on diabetic medication.

Aam Panna (Mango & Mint)

When the king of fruits comes to your service, you can rest assured that it’s going to tickle your tastebuds while providing amazing anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer benefits. Mango is one of the tropical fruits rich in polyphenols. Even the discarded skin of the fruit contains a high level of polyphenols, carotenoids, dietary fiber, and vitamin E. So, before you throw away the mango, make sure to extract every last bit of it (or, better yet, replant it).

After the primary component (green mango pulp), you also need mint (obviously), roasted cumin seed powder, black rock salt, and sweetener (use honey or jaggery).

Honey Lemon Ginger Tea

Honey is a compact package of nutrients, vitamins, and beneficial sugars. Lemon is a rich source of vitamin C and flavonoids. Flavonoids are phytonutrients that have an anti-inflammatory effect. In short, flavonoids protect you from a host of diseases, including heart-related, diabetes, cancer, and cognitive diseases like Alzheimer's and dementia.

Ginger is another powerful ingredient to add to your morning detox drink. Simply crush and boil two-three teaspoons of ginger in two cups of water, add half a teaspoon of natural honey, and one teaspoon of lemon juice, and viola! Your honey lemon ginger tea is ready.

The only drawback to this powerful antioxidant drink is that you may end up demanding it every day.

Haldi (Turmeric) & Honey

This is perhaps the simplest of all the detoxing drinks you can ever come across. When you are hard-pressed for time, put these two amazing antioxidants together in lukewarm water and gulp them down patiently.

All you need for this simple and unique morning tea is half a teaspoon of honey and just a pinch of turmeric to go with it. Stir well before sipping it all up.

Coconut Water Flavoured with Mint & Lemon

Mint has been the staple summer flavour in the northern part of India and other cultures around the world. However, it’s not just a wonder plant from the past. The antioxidant properties of mint, or Mentha, have been scientifically examined and described as ‘magical’ in the studies about their benefits.

Combined with the ultimate energizer, coconut water, mint creates a detoxing compound that is not only tasty but also offers a soothing effect from the scorching summer heat. So, it is likely that you will end up having this concoction later in the day as well.
