The World Health Organization (WHO) has praised the Haat Bazar Clinic scheme of Chhattisgarh, saying it was effective in providing healthcare facilities to people in remote villages and forest areas.
WHO has prepared a documentary film based on the scheme that was released by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday at his residence in Raipur.
The film will be screened at the WHO headquarters in Geneva.
WHO representative Dr. Hilde D. Greve was present on the occasion.
“This innovation is unique and one of a kind. No other state in the country has taken any initiative like this. WHO has produced this documentary film to appreciate this innovation and inspire other states and countries to take similar initiatives,” he said.
Baghel thanked the WHO for making a documentary. He said the availability of medical team and doctors in Haat-Bazaars along with free checkup and medicines have made it easier for people to avail health services.
