A seminar on Rights of Children was held at Gandhi Bhavan.
The seminar was organised in collaboration with the Children's Commission, Kailash Satyarthi Children's Foundation organized mass dialogue on topics such as violence against children, sexual exploitation, begging, child labor and cyber crime against children.
In the programme young social activist Neeru Diwakar gave the introduction and the efforts being made in Bhopal under the 'Justice for Every Child' initiative. Members of various departments – BM Singh from DALSA, Jagriti, DSP Nidhi Saxena, city childline director Archana Sahay and member of Madhya Pradesh Child Rights Protection Commission Brajesh Chauhan were present as guests.
Social service organizations like Aarambh, Bachpan, Sahara Literacy, Uday, Kunjal Welfare, Unite Foundation and Azim Prem Sansthan were also present in the programme.
Initiating the public dialogue, Brajesh Chouhan addressed the event.
The lecture was delivered by UDAY, Sahara Literacy Sansthan on the main intervention of youth group. Childline's successful cases and experiences were shared by Archana Sahai. Brij Tripathi, member of CWC, educated the children about the methods of self defense. The problems shared by the children were noticed and suitable solutions were worked out.
At the end of the programme consolidation and vote of thanks was given by Neeru Diwakar.
