RPF seizes huge liquor from two different trains in Gaya railway station

The Railway Protection Force (RPF),Gaya under ECR on February 6 seized liquor at two different trains in Gaya. 11 bottles of foreign liquor, containing 750ml each, Jharkhand state made and 24 bottles. beer cans containg 500ml worth Rs 11,540 were found in two bags from the train number 13329 Ganga- Damodar Express at platform no 7 while in a other incident, RPF, Gaya found 13 nos. of foreign liquor Royal Stag each 750ml, 12 nos. Imperial Blue each 750ml, and 31 nod. Foreign Liquor McDowell 180ml each that was valued at Rs 23,150 from train no 18624 Hatia Patna Express, said Ajay Prakash Inspector RPF Gaya. 

According to RPF Inspector Ajay Prakash one sub Inspector Javed Ekbal along with officers and staff of Railway Protection Force Gaya and GRP,Gaya along with officers and staff and CIB,Gaya raided at train number 13329 Gaya at platform no 7 here on Sunday. 

During checking after arrival at Railway Station Platform No. 7 at 2:55 hrs time, a person at berth No. 24 of Coach No. D2 was seen sitting with a Trolley bag in his lap and a Trolley bag under the seat,when RPF team went towards him, the person started getting nervous and started looking around. 

On questioning, he said his name- Siddharth Kumar Nishad alias Chhotu Age- 23 years Father- Brij Kishore Prasad Nishad Address- Lodna Padhyadih Police Station- Madhuban District- Dhanbad Jharkhand and coming from Dhanbad and way to Patna with both trolley bags whose ticket number is UR10438562.  

 

On checking the trolley bags in front of the witnesses present on suspicion, 11 nos. of foreign liquor, 750ml each, Jharkhand state made and 24 nos. beer cans 500ml each were recovered from both the trolley bags, making a confiscation list on the spot and the said person was confiscated. 

 

Meanwhile the arrested handed over to GRP Gaya for further action.The estimated value of confiscated liquor was estimated at ₹11540.

 

In other incident on same day, Sub-Inspector Javed Ekbal along with other officers and staff of Railway Protection Force Gaya and GRP raided the other tarin number 18624 at railway station platform number 6 at 03:30 time, at Gaya railway station. 

 

While during checking, two bags and one trolley bag were kept under berth number 55 of coach number S6, on seeing which doubts about the ownership of the said bag and trolley bag.  

 

When asked, none of the passengers accepted to be his owner and no one told anything about him, after which both the bag and the trolley bag were opened and checked in front of the witnesses present, out of which 13 nos. of foreign liquor Royal Stag each 750ml  , 12 nos. Imperial Blue each 750ml, and 31 nod. Foreign Liquor McDowell 180ml each were found to be all manufactured by the State of Jharkhand. 

 

The estimated value of confiscated liquor was estimated at ₹ 23150. A case has been registered under section 30(a) Bihar Excise Act-2018.
