The blast in the illegal diesel depot located besides the Indore- Ahmedabad four lane in the Dhulet village of Rajgarh tehsil of Dhar district where the duplicate diesel was hoarded and supplied to the trucks and other vehicles passing through the four lane round the clock. This incident has once again exposed the smuggling and manufacture of diesel in Dhar district.
On Monday night around 12 pm hundreds of villagers heard the sound of blast and fire of the illegal godown and diesel tankers which was heard till 5 kms and the flames was visible in the dark night.
The blast and firewere so dangerous that it engulfed the go down besides two tankers carrying duplicate diesel and one scorpio car which was carrying a machine to fill diesel in different vehicles. The owner of the tanker and illegal duplicate diesel go downAmin Ansari resident of Rajgarh escaped away from the sight. Police personnel, SDM and fire brigade of Dhar district reached on the spot and the efforts to control the fire continued till morning.
Dhar ADM told The Pioneer that the investigation is on and the officers of the food department including the food controller Dhar SN Mishra will also be questioned regarding this incident of fire in the illegal go down of diesel. Sources said that more than one lakh litre duplicate diesel was stored in the illegal depot at the time of the blast.
No information regarding the people wounded in the blast is yet received. It is to be noted that there are 13 food inspectors in Dhar district.
