Govt has reached your door to give benefits of schemes: Oraon

Sunday, 06 November 2022 | Vinod Prasad | Lohardaga

Minister, Planning cum Finance Department, Commercial Tax Department and Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Department,  Dr. Rameshwar Oraon,  today said that CM Hemant Soren is of the opinion that people should be given their rights by visiting their homes. The state government is organizing camps in every panchayat of the state so that the benefits of government schemes are given directly to the public. The government has reached your door only after giving the benefits of the schemes. Come to these camps in maximum numbers and take full advantage of the schemes. The district officials will solve your problems in the camp itself. The above things were said by the Minister in the program organized in Pesharar block of Lohardaga district on Saturday in your scheme, your government, your door.

The minister said that earlier in the state, when people used to apply for ration cards in the block offices, people could not get their ration cards due to lack of vacancies in red card or yellow card. Because of this many eligible families were deprived of food grains. When the present government was formed, the government undertook to provide ration to such underprivileged families from its own funds. As a result, it was decided to link such families with green ration cards. After the formation of the state, 20 lakh new families are being linked with green ration cards till this financial year. As soon as the food grains are purchased from the Food Corporation of India, the ration for the remaining months will also be supplied to the families. In Lohardaga district, 44-45 thousand new families are being linked with the green ration card scheme.

People are still struggling with the problem of mobile network in Pesharar block. The government has decided to connect such remote areas with a 4G network. Pesharar will soon be connected to the 4G network. The Minister said that after the formation of the present government in Jharkhand, people are being benefited continuously by public welfare schemes. Those brothers and sisters who did not have clothes to wear, under the Sona-Sobran, Dhoti-Sari scheme, dhoti/lungi or sari are being given for just Rs.10. Those who are widows, disabled, old age are being given pension in the form of one thousand rupees per month. Those who have two wheelers are being given 10 liters of petrol at the rate of Rs 25 per month under "Petrol Subsidy Scheme".
