Hundreds of members of Jharkhand Urja Vikas Shramik Sangh today demonstrated at the Transmission Headquarters located at Kusai Colony under the leadership of President Ajay Rai. After the demonstration, which lasted for about half an hour, in the absence of Managing Director, KK Verma, the workers held talks with the ED of the department, Manoj Karmali. On this occasion the Sangh interacted with him on several issues.

Ever since the work has been taken over by the new agency Suncity from November 16, 2022, since then EPF, ESI has not been done for the electricians, the same 30 days payment is being cut and only 26 days are being paid, as well as prescribed by the Labour Department. Less than the rate is being paid on which immediate action should be taken. Ajay Rai said that the adjustment of the already working personnel should be ensured first.

ED Manoj Karmali has asked the concerned officers of his department to initiate the process of action by investigating the matter through a letter to the GMs of all the transmission zones of the State.

Rai said that the talks have been very positive and it is their endeavour that the electricians working in all the transmission zones of the State get justice. He also said that on the issue of service confirmation letter to the regular employees in 2016-2018, which should be issued after 3 years of service, but it is still pending, they will submit memorandum.

In today's demonstration, members from Ranchi, electricians of Daltonganj, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Dumka etc were involved in which mainly Union General Secretary Amit Kumar Shukla Treasurer Vijay Singh Sanjay Thakur Mukesh Sahu, Saraswat Rai, Prince Kumar Anand Pramanik, Arvind Authentic, Vijay Kumar Mahato, Varun Kumar Vijay Ram Pranav Kumar Ashok Kumar Ajay Mahto Rajesh Pradhan Deepak Kumar Singh Manoj Kumar Anil Oraon Prabhu Charan Pramod Kumar

Hundreds of workers including Vinay Singh Harendra Mahto, Pramod Kumar, Ranjan Kumar, Kosales Kumar, Tulsi Kujur attended the protest.
