The Secur Eyes, a leading global cyber security specialised consulting services firm will start an on-line course on cyber security from May 15 for physically challenged candidates and retired people. The company will help the needy ones with financial support.
A research conducted by the International Information System Security Certification Consortium reveals that there is an estimated global shortage of nearly three million cyber security professionals as the digital economy is worth US$11.5 trillion globally, equivalent to 15.5% of global GDP.
To fill the skill-gap in the job market, the Bengaluru-based firm has been running the online skill development course - the Secur Eyes cyber security certification Program. On completion of the classroom hours, students would move forward to a six-month on- job training on live projects.
Company CEO and Co-founder Karmendra Kohli said that staying one step ahead of cybercriminals requires teams of experts, with different skills and knowledge bases. CTO and Co-founder Seemanta Patnaik added that a cyber security professional is a key link to emotional and physical safety of individuals, businesses, and Governments.
