Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the roads of Bhopal should be repaired immediately. Municipal Corporation and PWD should work in coordination with each other for the maintenance of roads.
Action should be taken against the contractors who have not done the restoration of the roads dug for sewerage and water pipelines. After a fortnight I will inspect the roads again.
Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the condition of roads in Bhopal in the morning meeting. Municipal Commissioner VS Kolsani was present. Principal Secretary Public Works Neeraj Mandloi and Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Manish Singh attended virtually. It was told that the roads have been affected due to comparatively high rainfall.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in the same meeting that through Govardhan Puja organised with the aim of expressing our gratitude towards nature, we have to motivate people for tree plantation, conservation of cow lineage and natural farming. Govardhan Puja is the worship of environment and nature in the true sense, it was started by Lord Krishna. He told people of Brij that Govardhan Parvat gives life to people and animals through forest, grass and fruits and flowers.
The meaning of Govardhan Puja is to protect the environment and in view of the crisis and effects of climate change and global warming, Govardhan Puja has become more relevant. More and more farmers, environment lovers and general public should be connected with Govardhan Puja organised on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that activities would also be conducted to make gaushalas self-dependent for the care of bovine. For the safety of the cows living on the roads, motivate every person to take up the task of bringing the cows to the gaushalas as a social responsibility. At present 1663 gaushalas are operating.
Along with this, other gaushalas will also be activated. It is necessary to encourage natural farming to protect the environment and people's health. Tree plantation is a suitable means of saving future generations from the effects of climate change. More and more people and organisations active for cow protection will also be involved in the activities of tree plantation, natural farming and conservation of cow lineage through Govardhan Puja.
