The Chhattisgarh government's flagship Godhan Nyay Yojana has bagged the 'Elets Innovations Award' for agriculture innovations.
The award was conferred jointly by Founder, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Elets Technomedia Pvt Ltd, Dr. Ravi Gupta, and the Secretary, the Union Ministry of Textiles, at a two-day Elets Atma Nirbhar Bharat Summit in New Delhi on Tuesday evening.
Joint Director R.L. Khare received the award on behalf of the Secretary and State Nodal Officer, Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey have congratulated the people of the state and concerned officers and employees besides Gauthan committees and women self-help groups for the achievement.
Godhan Nyay Yojana was started in Chhattisgarh on July 20, 2020. Under it, cow dung is procured from the cattle owners, farmers and villagers at Rs 2 a kg.
Khare said the merits and benefits of the scheme have drawn the attention of the country towards Chhattisgarh.
