The Vedanta Jharsuguda, India’s largest producer of aluminium and value-added products, won three first prizes at the prestigious Greentech Awards 2020 for exemplary efforts in safety, sustainability and Covid-19 initiatives.The company won three awards -19 Annual Greentech Safety Award 2020 for outstanding achievements in industry sector safety excellence, 20 Annual Greentech Sustainability Award 2020 for outstanding achievements in good health and well being and Greentech Corona Warrior Award 2020 for outstanding achievements in corona protection initiatives.
These awards were presented during the Greentech’s safety, sustainability and corona warrior summit held recently in Mahabalipuram,Tamil Nadu. Instituted by the Greentech Foundation, Greentech Awards witnessed participation across various critical industry sectors. “As India’s largest producer of aluminium, we have put in rigorous processes and global best practices to make our world-class operations safe for employees and business partners, in line with our ethos of Zero Harm, Zero Waste and Zero Discharge,” said Vedanta, Jharsuguda CEO CN Singh.
