The science yatra reached at Rabindranath Tagore University on Wednesday.
The yatra is being organized under the joint aegis of Vigyan Bharati, Mpcost and IIT Indore. In which Rabindranath Tagore University is playing its important role.
The Vigyan Yatra, which is going to all 52 districts of Madhya Pradesh, started on February 28 on National Science Day, which will end on May 11 on National Technology Day. On this occasion, Prajatantra Gangale Organization Minister Vigyan Bharti Malwa, Santosh Vishvakarma, Professor IIT Indore, Ajay Kushwaha, Professor IIT Indore was present.
On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Brahmaprakash Pethia said in his address that India has made important discoveries of science since ancient times. He referred to the contributions made by Indian science thinkers Aryabhatta, Nagarjuna, Varahamihira.
Prajatantra Gangelle said that research should benefit the society. Dissemination of science is also necessary in rural areas. Only then can we fulfill the concept of self-sufficient middle state and self-reliant India.
Ajay Kushwaha elaborated on the organization of Madhya Pradesh Science Conference and Exhibition at IIT Indore during 11 to 13 May in the context of the Swadeshi Science Festival before the 75th year of India's independence. He said that teachers and students should play their role in the promotion of science in the society.
Santosh Vishwakarma said that this conference is a co-ordination of technology and traditional knowledge, in which more and more students and academic community should participate.
On this occasion, Sanjeev Gupta, Dean Engineering and Technology, a large number of professors including Neetu Paliwal convenor Vigyan Yatra and Dean Science Department were present.
