Chhattisgarh’s Swami Vivekananda Airport here will have around 29 flights per day as per the new winter schedule made effective from Sunday.

The city will be connected to 17 cities by non-stop flights, said Airport Director Rakesh Ranjan Sahay.

He said there are seven flights to Delhi and four flights per day to Kolkata. Similarly, Raipur is connected to Mumbai and Hyderabad by three flights daily. There are two flights daily from Raipur to Indore and Bengaluru.

Other cities are also connected by the same flight.

Indigo will operate 24 flights per day out of 28 to 29 available daily in Raipur. With this, the flights to Raipur will match the pre-Covid-19 levels or surpass it, Sahay added.

There were around 7,000 boarding passengers per day during the pre-coronavirus period. With this schedule, this figure will soon exceed, he said.
