Chhattisgarh School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam on Sunday announced awards for 36 teachers from each district for holding regular ‘Mohalla classes’ from the current school academic session.

He was interacting with teachers on the commencement of the second year of ‘Padhai Tuhar Dwar’ programme through a webinar, an official statement said.

The programme commenced during the Covid pandemic in the last academic year after the schools were closed in the state.

Appreciating the teachers for adopting innovative modes to impart education, the Minister said it is the second academic session where schools are still closed. No one can estimate when they will open.

Keeping this in view, the teachers have to make the programme successful. Technology will help. The parents should also be involved in teaching, he said.
