A Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition was organised on Monday under Hindi Pakhwada in SAIL, Centre
for Engineering and Technology (CET). Along with CET Ranchi, participants from CET’s Bokaro, Bhilai, Durgapur and Rourkela sub-centres also participated enthusiastically in this poetry recitation programme.
The objective of the program was to promote the love of the language among the personnel by reciting the works of the best poets of Hindi literature and to acquaint the younger generation with the glorious poetic tradition of Hindi. During this program which lasted more than two hours, eminent writers of Hindi literature Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Maithilisharan Gupta, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Gopal Singh Nepali, Subhadra Kumari Chauhan, Nagarjuna, Bhavani Prasad Mishra, Ayodhya Singh Upadhyay Harioudh, Gopal Das Neeraj, Balkavi Poems of Vairagi, Kaka Hathrasi, Hullad Moradabadi etc. were recited.
The programme was presided over by the Executive Director of CET, Jagdish Arora. In his concluding remarks, he said that while listening to poetry, he remembered the moments spent in his school. He believed that such programs would not only increase the love of Hindi among the employees of the SET but would also motivate them to work in it. The program was conducted by CET General Manager Manish Kumar and Mrs. Parmita Mahanti. During the poetry recitation, along with the introduction of the poets, the operators also highlighted interesting facts related to the poem presented.
