The Chhattisgarh government said on Thursday that it has distributed another consignment of 8,800 Remdesivir injections to different hospitals amid reports of an acute shortage.
On Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s instruction, Chhattisgarh State Road Development Corp Managing Director Bhoskar Vilas Sandipan and Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corp Managing Director Arun Prasad went to Mumbai and Hyderabad respectively to coordinate with the companies producing Remdesivir injection.
This has helped in keeping a continuous supply of the injections, the press release said. Sun Pharma provided 5,400 injections and Hetero Pharma 3,400. The supply will continue. On Tuesday, the state got 9,100 Remdesivir injections.
