Local MLA Dr. Neeraj Bora, while presenting an account of the development works done in the last four-and-a-half years in Lucknow North Vidhan Sabha constituency, said that the region was moving towards progressive development.
"Along with basic facilities like roads, electricity, water, education, health, many important works have been done in the direction of protecting the public and connecting them with the mainstream of development. This process of development is going on continuously and even in the face of adversity," Dr Bora said while talking to reporters here on Monday.
He said there was a huge population pressure in his constituency and providing infrastructure facilities in unplanned colonies was a big challenge.
"A 100-bed new hospital in the area, three new power houses, new industrial training institute (ITI), new auditorium in IET, paved road in more than 1,000 unpaved streets, rejuvenation of Sitapur road market, construction of additional blocks in government college and engineering college are some of the works carried out in last four-and-a-half years," he said.
Referring to the services rendered during the COVID-19 period, Dr Bora expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He said that due to the welfare schemes of the government, many regional development projects were approved, on which work had been done and many projects were in the pipeline.
"The measure of development is sustainable. Special attention has been paid to this in the last four-and-a-half years. The voice of the region has been effectively presented in the House. For the convenience of the devotees of the area, beautification and tourism development of the historic Badi Kaliji temple at Chowk and the beautification of the historic Shri Hanuman temple of Aliganj and construction of civic amenities have been done," he said.
Dr Bora said that under the commitment of the government to provide houses to all, the poor of the area had been given the benefit of the housing scheme.
