Bike hit by unidentified vehicle in BRTS corridor, rider dies

A 35-year-old man died after his bike was hit by a speeding vehicle in BRTS corridor near Hyundai showroom under  Baghsewania police station area late in the night on Wednesday.

Police said an injured man was rushed to a hospital where he  died during treatment and was identified as Pappu alias Narmada Kushwaha.

In the initial investigation police found that the deceased was on his way home at around 11.30 in the night after work when his bike was hit by an unidentified vehicle in BRTS corridor.

The deceased used to work at a liquor shop. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and started further investigation.

Police have not found any details of the vehicle which the hit as no one have spotted the errant vehicle.

Nearby CCTV cameras would be investigated. The deceased was found in an injured stated and police were informed by commuters and with the help of locals he was sent to the hospital.

The deceased was driving under the influence of alcohol or not is yet to be established as post mortem report is awaited.

After preliminary investigation police have registered against errant driver and started further investigation.

Meanwhile a 28-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Kalyan Nagar under Chola Mandir police station area on Wednesday.

Police said that the deceased Thaan Singh was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.

In the initial investigation, police found that the deceased committed suicide after he returned heavily drunk.

During the investigation police have not found any suicide note or any reason behind the suicide. The family members failed to provide any reason behind the suicide.

The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
