The Forest personnel of the Bhitarkanika National Park are going to launch a day-long enumeration drive of dolphins on January 17. The drive would be undertaken from Dhamra to Mahanadi mouth within the Bhitarkanika mangrove wetland, informed Rajnagar Mangrove Forest and Wildlife Division DFO Bikash Ranjan Dash.The census would help provide basic information about migrating behaviour of Irrawaddy dolphins as well as other species.
For the seventh consecutive year, the dolphin census drive is going to be held at the Bhitarkanika National Park.
